I like to think there is a little nerd in us all....

So, in my attempt to procrastinate from implementing the 14 pages of edits and suggestions my teacher has given me for my senior thesis, I went Christmas shopping. At Anthropologie.

Do you ever wish you could be incredibly impractical and ask for books as your only gifts for Christmas? Or is that just reserved for us nerdy journalism students?

Well, I nearly hyperventilated when I spotted this little number on the shelf next to the costume jewelry. Tachen's New York offers an insider's guide to New York's best restaurants, hotels, and my favorite--shops. The book even includes a pocket-sized map of Manhattan.

So, if I ever make it to New York, you all know the perfect going away present for me:)

Anthropologie's website also offers beautiful Penguin clothbound versions of classics such as Pride and Prejudice and Jane Eyre. Perfect Christmas gifts for the bookworm.

Haha. Well, we all know nerdiness is alive and well in me. I'd like to respectfully add my name to the book list.

That is, if I'm in New York. If we need to replicate, a certain other blonde/brunette pair and jet off to Paris, I'm sure we can find a Paris version of that book.
